I bought this Kindle NRSV (for my iPad)to use at church. It is much easier to read than a pocket bible. However, you cannot search for a chapter and verse. In addition, the pages do not display what book you are in and the chapter number is displayed only on the first page of the chapter. This was my first experience with a Kindle book & it did not meet my expectations.

My review is based on the Kindle version.This Bible contains horrible formatting, and typos—the most noticeable in Amos, where several instances of what should be “says the Lord” appear as just “the Lord.”Footnotes appear sometimes as windows, other times as full pages. Many footnotes are cross-linked, empty, or show no correlation to the text they accompany. Someone needs to go through this Bible, footnote by footnote, and correct the multitude of errors.Because of the errors, my faith in the translation is diminished. I can’t award any more than one star to this book.

This Bible was purchased for a high school humanities course that my freshman daughter is taking. It is relatively easy to read and appropriate for study. As with any Bible, it is worth looking up alternative translations when delving deeper into key passages. This is easily done when purchased in Kindle format. Annotations and notes are also easily taken in the "margins" making active reading and class discussion much easier. I recommend this Bible for anyone, but particularly for those who wish to study the Bible and are generally put off by archaic language or concepts.

I found the "go to" function unuseable. The only criteria requested is "location", which is a 5 digit number like 50756. Sadly, I'm not familiar enough to know this for each chapter and verse.

I have a feeling that there are already a few reviews of this book available, Another batch is doubtless being readied for publication as I write. Probably a few new renderings as well, Many are the claimants to possession of the INERRANT WORD. And new pretenders frequently appear. The NRSV is a stalwart version. been around quite a while, I think. This E version seems to be set up so as to make navigation reasonably easy. What more could be asked?

well , it's the bible...this electronic version is easy to use and navigate. highlighting and book marking is easy. Would like to be able to make notations in margins...

My favourite translation of the Bible, it is great to have it on my iPad for such an inexpensive price. The table of contents at the beginning make it very easy to find the chapter I'm looking for. Highly recommend this product.

Kindle navigation is very good, with active Table of Contents and links to individual chapters at the beginning of each document. Obviously, it's not a study Bible, but it's a great format for reading scripture, and access to textual notes are easy and they work!
