This is another one that hurts to review, but not only because my friends loved this book and series, but also because I love this series. I pretty much binged the entire series in two weeks and it was ah-mazing! I loved it so much. I liked this book a lot too, but it also made me realize how flawed these books are and that's never a good thing to happen in the final installment.I had finished book 5 right before I picked this up and book 5 was my favorite, favorite book in this series. It's such an emotional, fast-paced, dark and mysterious story which I loved. However, with this book, I felt as though the characters were a little juvenile? Everyone was keeping secrets from everyone: the kids didn't talk to the parents who didn't talk to the kids and everything was just a mess. There were some highly predictable things that happened, a lot of convenient things that were even more convenient than in previous books and, honestly, a lot of stupid decisions as well.SPOILERS________________________[First of all, why in the world did Cammie think it was Preston who wanted to talk to her? It never even crossed my mind that it would be Preston not his dad? @.@Secondly, it's just so funny to me that these four girls and one guy are some sort of prodigies who can make everything okay and who can save the world when some of the kids' parents are titled as amazing spies and amazing agents and amazing everything; how come the parents weren't capable of doing anything except hide or do a few missions? Like???? How does that even make any sense?Thirdly, the side characters are soooooooooo underdeveloped it actually hurts. One second Abby and Townsend are like strangers and the next they're all lovey dovey (in their sense, anyway). What about Rachel and Joe? One time they're just friends with a slight interest or layer of love between them and behind the scenes they got to be boyfriend and girlfriend and then suddenly it was a marriage proposal. Also, let alone that the sides are underdeveloped, Cammie and Zach just are a boyfriend and girlfriend, but there was no talks about how they actually became an official item. It's just.. understood. Ugh.Finally, (though here are some more things), it felt like the girls hadn't really grown at all. Macey was throwing tantrums left and right, Bex was all murderous as always, Cammie is still the reckless girl she was back when and always acts without thinking. Of course, you can argue, that Cammie has grown a lot, and I think she has, too, but some things just brought back the Cammie-ness in the first half of the series and it was a bit disappointing =/ I mean.. I loved where they had gotten by the end of book five, but in this book they all seemed to have gone through some character regression or something. It was painful to watch how, under pressure, they just kept giving each other silent treatment or lashing out at one another. Aren't you supposed to be sisters and work as a team? I just wanted to shook some sense into them.____________________I guess my semi-disappointment also has to do with the fact that I had binged 6 books in a pretty short amount of time so it got a little repetitive and predictable, but.. regardless, this series is so amazing and I loved every second spent on reading it! I guess it's time to start collecting them in physical form sometime and have these pretty spines decorate my shelves ✿◔◡◔✿This series is a definite recommendation for every booknerd out there!

The final book had to raise it stakes much higher and it definitely did. At the end of Out of Sight, Out of Time, Cammie and her squad had the names of the Inner circle of Cavan, and now their mission is to find their current leaders from that list and end this for once and for all. But the Circle of Cavan had put forth a new strategy to cause maximum damage, and they still don't know about it, which is why their mission soon changes from find the members, to figure out their plans and put a stop to the domino of events. It was a tense, action-packed novel, with Cammie and the Academy rising up to the challenge and going undercover as fugitives to stop terrible events. A few things were too coincidental, if you ask me, but that has always been the case with this series. Nevertheless, it works well as a finale, tying up loose ends, giving us closure, and ending a beautiful era.

I've always liked this series, and books 2-3 were the highlight. We all knew that the series would end with this book, and I think it did a good job with wrapping up the threads from previous books. What I liked:-- The relationship between Zach and Cammie continues its natural curve. Their kisses get a little more involved, and they move into each other's arms more quickly and naturally, but I like that its still written briefly, rather than being overdone.-- The pacing is very good, I thought, even though the whole thing was just a bit disjointed, almost as unrelated sections.-- The plot threads are all finished neatly and 95% of it makes sense. (See below for that 5% that didn't.)-- The whole series is very coherent together... but especially the books having to do with the Inner Circle.-- This book is one more level of gritty than the last one. It wasn't too much... still a girly book... but it really does SHOW you that Cammie is 18, still partially teenager, but for the most part adult now. I thought the lists should have shown a bit more maturity than they did, but they at least showed some.***Spoilers beyond this point ***What I didn't care for:-- Zach and Cammie still never said, "I love you" to each other or gave each other any sort of a commitment. I am not a fan of teen (or adult) novels where those words are held cheaply. I don't like it when the author throws them in as sappy purple prose. I don't care for the example it sets when teens are saying it after mere weeks of knowing each other. It's even worse when the the words are used to make it "okay" for characters to get physical. Ally Carter avoided all of that, and I love that she avoided it all. BUT... neither am I a fan of books supporting the idea that teens can get all the way into passionate kisses like Zach and Cammie finally do without giving each other a commitment. They've been together years now, they've demonstrated commitment and they've been through some tough things, so it seems odd that they still never verbalized any sort of commitment. Especially with the series ending! It's like it must have happened off-screen somewhere. We should have seen it in the pages, though, even if it was just one or two paragraphs. A whispered "I love you" in between kisses. A quiet, "I'm not going anywhere. We belong together." SOMETHING. It doesn't really seem natural to me that it's so obviously missing, and I don't like the idea of a book that otherwise stands up to high moral standards skipping this important part of a relationship.-- The plot did not make it clear enough in explaining the parts played by Ambassador Winters and the guy in the Cambridge library. One one hand... they are supposedly being targeted because they are part of the Inner Circle. But then both say they are afraid of what the Inner Circle wants to do, and they want it stopped. So are they NOT part of the Inner Circle? But if they're not, then it's not just the Inner Circle being targeted like the rest of the book seems to state. I just can't make heads or tails of that. If anyone reading this DID make sense out of it, then leave a comment, and if it's explained to me so it does make sense, I'll delete this portion of this review.-- The relationship between Abby and Townsend wasn't portrayed very smoothly. Through the early books, I was constantly trying to figure out if Abby was supposed to be falling in love with Mr. Solomon or if Rachel was. In the beginning of this one, I still couldn't not tell which one was falling in love with him... and then Abby and Townsend are arguing in that "they might like each other way" in one scene... and suddenly Cammie's catching them kiss? Did I miss something? All in all, though, it is a great book that I like sharing with my teen daughter.

I love this book and this series! Started readin in 7th grade & the last book came out when I had just finished high school and was starting college. I graduated and went off to do bigger and better things at the same time as all the Gallagher Girls! This series means so much to me. It's the first book series I ever preordered. The first series I went to a book signing for. The first series I ever truly fell in love with! These epilogues were such a treat and I'm so glad we got them. Here's to 10 years!
